The vocal booth: record vocals on a beat

Open Music → Vocal booth in RetLabel Studio.

1. Pick a beat from the beat shop (you record on the tagged preview; with a licence the booth plays the full MP3), or upload your own.
2. Record: press the red button (or R). Use headphones. A count-in gives you 4 beats. Takes are saved right away.
3. Edit: drag a clip to move it, drag the edges to trim, Split at playhead, Duplicate. Shift while dragging: no snapping to the beat.
4. Effects per track (FX): EQ (vocal, warm, bright, telephone), compressor, reverb, echo (in time with the BPM), pan.
5. Samples: add sounds from the sample packs in the shop to the Samples track.
6. Export mix: an MP3 of your song. Download it, start a release, or order mixing & mastering.

If your takes sound a little late, raise Latency (it is different for every computer and headset).
